OK, so I expected to be over this CMS itch by now, but an article in new article at SmartCompany.com.au got me thinking again.
You see I’m still fiddling, tweaking, revising, editing and scratching with Joomla. This site is done in WordPress. I don’t know which is truly better as I think they are both limited by my inability to code an ‘uber template’ for either of them – and so I trawl the interwebs for something that catches my eye and fits the bill all in one.
But the scrooge in me shies away from the professional pay to license templates that are widespread, as I think that open source is open source. I know that the software is the open source bit and people can leverage a creative commons license to generate an income – it’s just that currently my intrigue in learning how to get better at the back end stuff is more dominant than the ability to get my wallet out!
So bear with me, and I’ll get to that particular cross roads in time…
